![]() ![]() Fortunately, the campground is located next to a park with multiple playgrounds located on it. FOR CAMPERS WITH KIDS: They have a very small playground best suited for maybe 3 kids at a time. There is no way they can fix that unless they do away with a few sites and expand. SIZE: As many of the other reviews have stated, the sites are very small. The convenience of nearby attractions is what makes it a consideration. First of all, Kings Holly Haven RV resort is more of a place to "park your camper with a pad" than a place of substance (though there are concrete pads to set up your chair(s) and they include a picnic table w/ some including a grill as well). Please keep in mind, this is simple honest review from my perspective and not meant to be spiteful in any way. It is our 2nd stay because there were no other vacancies at any other campgrounds. My family and I have frequented many campgrounds in the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area over the years and this is our LEAST favorite. Oh btw, I have room in my driveway if you ever decide RVing's not for you. Can't recall the most popular ones, but they can save you money I hear.with discounts to campgrounds. I have so many more bookmarked, I may have missed some good ones, but these will hopefully help get you started: Some of these sites should have a campground directory that will show all the campgrounds in the PF/GB area. Here are a few sites I bookmarked, not sure if all of these will help. There is a wealth of RVing info on the web. We tent camp a lot and our dream is to one day soon buy a Class A or C motorhome. If you take them on the train at Dollywood, beware of the flying cinders from the train, that can really hurt children eyes, you can wash them out, but by then you and child are upset.Have fun camping, the kids will remember it always, especially if you have a campfire at night. Dollywood has alot of kid rides and when it is hot, you can go inside where it is air conditioned, watch a show, and usually our kids would fall asleep, not because they were bored (the shows are good), but because they were so tired. Of course your kids are still to small for that. We like to be on the trolley line so our sons could hop on and go somewhere if we did not want to go out. Kings Holly Haven is nice, but they have a problem with saying you have a creekside site (which of course you pay more for) and yes you are by a creek, but you cannot see it because of all the trees/shrubs, plus the fact it is like 10 feet below where your camper is. Clabough's is probably our favorite, 2 pools plus a small store for all the things you forget. We have camped at Riveredge and the only problem we had was the small piece of paper you had to clip to your rear-view mirror kept blowing off (we did not bring scotch tape) and they kept bugging us about it even though it was on the dashboard of our truck. If I remember right they have a nice playground for kids, nice pool. ![]()
